Getting Around

A network of roads and tracks winds around Carriacou in contrast to the one main road on Petite Martinique. Privately run mini buses, sporting colorful names, can get you to most places on Carriacou at fixed rates and run from about 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Taxis drivers are available at reasonable rates to get you to your destinations or for fascinating island tours narrated from a local perspective. If you have stamina and want a work out, inquire to rent a mountain-bike and explore the many tracks and trails on our islands. Want a less strenuous way to get around at your own convenience? There are reputable places offering rental jeeps. Don’t forget to bring your driver’s license.
